About me



Hi everyone!
I'm Sofia. My journey with art starts in 2015 when I found the need to draw the characters that I invented for my stories. I have always got a passion for narrative arts, especially for animation. I've spent hours and hours looking at the backstage of animation films to understand their works.
I've been creating stories in my mind since I was a kid, and art is the perfect medium for me to tell them.



My Study Journey



I started studying art in the summer of 2015 with Lucca Manga School, taking part to a lot of their classes, mainly focusing my studies in Character Design and Story Development.

In 2021 I've started my Bachelor in Media Design and Multimedia Arts in NABA - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, choosing the Animation section in my second year. I've graduated with 110/110 in April 2025.
In 2021 I also started my two-year Manga Courses at Lucca Manga Academy. I graduated in 2023 with the publication of my short stories "The Ghost's Promise" for MangaSenpai.



My works





In 2017 I have been tutored by several teachers in their classes and then became a teacher myself in 2020. I teached to more than 20 classes, I mainly teach in courses for kids from 8 to 10 and 11 to 13 about how to approach drawing characters.

In 2020 I've taken part to the weekly live on LMS Twitch account, showing viewers our drawing process and entertaining them with different subjects like manga, animation, and videogames.
In 2022 I was one of the background assistants for "Melancholia", published by BeccoGiallo.
In 2023 I was a colorist assistant for the BMW Group Italia "LOVE ME" project, working on the Lucca illustration with Riccardo Pieruccini. In 2023 I was also the Group Leader in "Prenota e Ritira" Feltrinelli's project. I lead the preproduction part and presented our pitch for the jury. I also animated the last part of the project, with the title graphic animation.
In 2024 my short story "The Ghost's Promise" was published by MangaSenpai on their short stories collection "Senpai Giga".
From 2023 to 2024 I taught in some classes for Percorsi Creativi.


Curriculum

My interest



My main interest it's always been character design. I love creating new characters and create illustrations about them.
I also love manga and writing stories, I have a lot of ongoing projects about some of those that I hope I can show soon.
My love for teaching has always been present next to the drawing one. I love helping people to reach their goals and help them learning new things.
Concerning animation, I am mainly studying character design, storyboard and stop-motion animation. I also love working with cut-out animation.
